Template notice. This is a starting template to adapt for Homebase Hub — not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney review and tailor it to your business and jurisdiction before you launch.

1. Who we are

Homebase Hub ("Homebase Hub," "we," "us") provides a family-organization app available at homebasehub.app and on connected tablets and phones. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When a parent or guardian creates a household, we collect a name, email address, and password (stored only in hashed form).

Household and family content you add

To make the app work, you may add: family member profiles (including children's first names, ages, school details, and photos), medical notes and allergies, emergency contacts, pets, appointments, chores, rewards, and memories. You decide what to enter.

Connected services

If you connect Google Calendar (or another calendar), we access your calendar events to sync them with your Hub, using tokens you authorize. You can disconnect at any time.

Usage information

We collect basic, non-identifying technical data (device type, app version, error logs) to keep the service reliable.

3. How we use information

4. We do not sell your data or show ads

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and Homebase Hub does not display advertising. Your household's information is used to run the service for your family — nothing else.

5. Children's privacy

Homebase Hub is designed for parents and guardians to manage their own household, including information about their children. Children do not create accounts; a parent enters and controls any information about a child and may review or delete it at any time. We collect children's information only as directed by the parent to operate the family features, and we do not knowingly use it for any other purpose.

6. Google API services

Homebase Hub's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar data only to provide and improve the calendar-sync feature you turn on, and never to serve ads or sell data.

7. How information is shared

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls that isolate each household, and hashed PINs and passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat sensitive details — photos, medical notes, emergency info — with extra care.

9. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete individual items in the app, or delete your household entirely, after which we remove your data on a routine schedule except where we must retain it for legal reasons.

10. Your choices & rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information from within the app or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.

11. Changes & contact

We'll post any changes here and update the date above. Questions about privacy: privacy@homebasehub.app.

This template omits company-specific details (legal entity, address, data-processor list) that you should add before publishing.

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Homebase Hub. By creating a household or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Your account

You must be an adult (18+) to create a household. You're responsible for your account, your PIN, and the activity of members you add, including children. Keep your login secure.

3. Acceptable use

4. Plans, billing & trials

Homebase Hub offers a free plan and paid plans (e.g., Plus). Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor. Free trials convert to paid unless cancelled before the trial ends. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice.

5. Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account settings; your plan stays active through the end of the paid period and then returns to Free. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. Hardware bundle

If you purchase the Wall Display Bundle, the hardware is sold as described, with any included subscription term stated at purchase. Returns and warranty for hardware are covered by the terms provided with your order.

7. Your content

You own the content you add to Homebase Hub. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate the service for you. We don't claim ownership of your family's information.

8. AI assistant

The assistant and briefings are generated by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. They're a helpful aid, not professional advice — use judgment for anything important (medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions).

9. Service availability

We work to keep Homebase Hub running but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homebase Hub is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service anytime. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Governing law & changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where Homebase Hub is established (specify before launch). We may update these Terms and will post changes here with a new date.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms: support@homebasehub.app.
